The Australian Silver Kookaburra series is the longest-running silver coin program from the Perth Mint. The success of the coin program led to gold coins being part of the series as well. The obverse side of the 2024 Australian Gold Kookaburra Coin features the effigy of King Charles III. The King is seen in left-profile relief, with no crown, as designed by Dan Thorne.
The reverse side of the 2024 1/10 oz Australian Kookaburra Coin shows a kookaburra. The bird is flying in right-profile relief, clutching a snake in its talons. At the bottom of the design, we can see a jagged rock formation. The reverse side also shows the P125 mint mark for the Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
Every 2024 1/10 oz Australian Gold Kookaburra Coin will arrive inside a sealed capsule to preserve the gold coin’s BU condition. These 1/10 oz gold coins have a limited mintage of just 15,000 and are part of the 35th year of the Australian Kookaburra Series.
